Code of Conduct
Our Commitment
QASC 2026 is committed to providing a harassment-free, inclusive, and welcoming conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
Expected Behavior
All participants, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are expected to:
- Be respectful and considerate in all interactions
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior
- Be mindful of surroundings and fellow participants
- Alert conference organizers if you notice violations or someone in distress
- Respect the intellectual property and attribution of others' work
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable:
- Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination
- Sexual images in public spaces
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Harassing photography or recording
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events
- Inappropriate physical contact
- Unwelcome sexual attention
- Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviors
Consequences
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the conference with no refund, or reporting to appropriate authorities.
Reporting
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it by:
- Contacting any conference organizer directly
- Emailing bsenapati@ualr.edu
- Visiting the registration desk during the conference
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all conference venues, including the main conference, workshops, social events, and online interactions (social media, chat channels, etc.) related to QASC 2026.
This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant and the Conference Code of Conduct.
